LOTUS CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY WELCOME THE CONSUL GENERAL AND TRADE COMMISSIONER OF NEW ZEALAND TO OUR FACTORY

It is an honour to welcome Mrs. Karlene Davis (Consul General and Trade Commissioner) as well as Ms. Nhung (Head of Business Development) from the Consulate of New Zealand in Ho Chi Minh City at Lotus' factory today. New Zealand ranks first in the world in quality of living environment in addition to also being ranked as the most favourable location in the world when it comes to doing business according to a 2020 report by Doing Business.

New Zealand, a country with high representation of women in leading roles as evidenced by its prime minister and Mrs. Davis herself.

I told her that Vietnamese women are all very skilled and hard-working but are not given the worthy opportunities.

We took her as well as our potential customers (through livestream) on an excursion through the factory premises to show them the technology and equipment that is used in the four product lines of the company:

  • 1) Logistics and eCommerce Packaging

  • 2) Industrial Packaging

  • 3) Consumer Packaging

  • 4) Medical Care Packaging

Mrs. Davis' (Consul General and Trade Commissioner) visit, as a representative of Lotus' partners in New Zealand is to discuss Lotus' role as a manufacturer of Home Compostable Plastics as well as Post Consumer Plastics Recycling for a potential long term partnership to produce high-end products of the aforementioned four product lines. New Zealand has an area of 268,000 km² (nearly equal to Vietnam's 330,000 km²), a population of 5 million (half the size of Ho Chi Minh City) while having a GDP per capita of 38,000 USD (surpassing the UK, Japan and France), and in Vietnam at least, a special situation where a diplomat aids and represents businesses pro-bono, there are a lot of things worth learning from from the people of the most peaceful and safest country.
